The belated tear drop…...

Bose, Thank you for this Contribution.....

Oh mother I shredded your green garment
To build Palatial homes, oblivious to your tears,
I chocked you with soot overlooking the abundant
Energy sources you encompass,
I poisoned your veins & body with toxic wastes
To produce things I can live without,
I killed all your offspring’s out of my
Ruthless arrogance, oh benevolent mother,
You have forgiven all my dastardly acts oh mother earth.
“But today you lay in death bed”
By loosing you I will lose my only home & hope,
But alas the truth has dawned too late.
You had warned me through incessant rains & storm,
But my misplaced pride has outdone me.
Oh, If only I had the wisdom to use your generous riches judiciously,
I wouldn’t have to shed silent tears in guilt & anguish.
