Another tide with force of anti corruption and black money is rising to hit the UPA. When Anna Hazare started his death to fast for a strong Lokpal, UPA tried to ignore at starting and paid for it later. This time with Babaramdev UPA was more cautious and shown over enthusiasm by sending 4 UPA ministers including Pranab Mukherjee to the airport to receive him and request him to call off his decision on fasting. Again Congress was cornered for giving too much importance for Ramdhev. From the past 1 year corruption and black money is haunting the UPA government and the worst part for them is that not Judiciary, opposition or parliamentarians are criticizing the UPA, but civil society is engaging in the matter to a greater extent.This is the kind of response that every social activist dream for to have a greater public participation. Having that in their back, you see how the strong Govt like UPA is shivering like baby.
Anna has achieved a great deal of confidence from the people and cornered the government to a great extent on his fast. Anna is no one before his fast, but became national hero after the math. Now its not the same case with Baba Ramdhev, he is already a hero for many with millions of followeres of his own. Apart from that his proximity to RSS is the main cause of concern for Congress. If at all Baba ramdhev sits in hunger strike for at least 3 days, a definite surge of peoples support will emerge across the nation. Already RSS publicly acknowledged their support to Ramdhev. TDP, BJP, Shivasena, and many other are on their way to support him. With Anna its not certain, but Ramdhev's succesful hunger strike will only means change of power in the next elections. UPA recognized it but can only do little stop him.
